Caregiving magazines are filling a need

Caregiving is getting glossier. The publishing world is responding as the nation's 79 million baby boomers increasingly find themselves thrust into the role of caregiver for aging parents, spouses or other family members.
Two magazines focusing specifically on caregivers have launched in the last year. They join another long-established caregiving magazine, as well as other disease-related publications that have articles on the subject, reflecting the demand for information among people who shoulder those responsibilities.
"People now are just beginning to acknowledge that 'Yes, I'm a caregiver, and I need some support — and I'd like to get information,' " says Gail Gibson Hunt, executive director of the National Alliance for Caregiving.
